2020 Quarantine Art, "Socially Distant." The woman's distant gaze embodies the feelings of social distancing. Check out the time-lapse of my drawing that I included in this post. I present it with layers of sounds that begins as a cacophony, representing the world going on about its regular routine before quarantine. Sounds fade into quieter moments of being at home = news broadcasting, hand-washing, singing, howling, sewing masks, along with sounds of nature repairing and flourishing.

A friend of mine has a son who absolutely loves unicorns. His birthday was coming up and my friend, who is seriously one of the most amazing people and moms I know, planned this entire day in honor of her son’s birthday. From Unicorn pizza, to a Harry Potter-themed cafe, they had the entire day mapped out with a bunch of stops to various places that catered to all of her sons favorite things and passions. One of those stops was getting to meet a real live unicorn (pony dressed up as a unicorn). Well, the pony forgot to dress up and it was a bit of a disappointment. My friend sent me this photo of her son with the pony and asked if I could use some of my magic and turn the pony into the unicorn he was meant to be, haha! I was so excited she asked me and I got to work right away.

Recommendations to others considering the product: Don’t let the learning curve intimidate you. The best way to learn is just get in there and play around. There is a wealth of knowledge shared through forums, groups, books, local classes, etc… You’ll be glad you did and will wonder how you’ve gone so long without it!
